Product Description "Get me the princess. I want her alive." We at gadgetshop HQ challenge you to assume the deepest mechanical growl of James Earl Jones, the statuesque presence of David Prowse and the plastic body of a small (but somewhat flexible) potato-shaped device. Put them all together and what has one got? Yes. The very incarnation of Darth Tater, in Mr Potato Head form. Aided and abetted by his ever-faithful Spud Trooper, Darth is back to lead the Empire in a duel to the death against the forces of the Rebel Alliance and its fearless droid Artoo Potatoo. And, like all Potato Heads, he comes with layer upon layer of clothing and accessories to deliver the most authentic evil-looking ground-based vegetable spin-off toy imaginable. Tater not only possesses his trusty black cape and bucket-like life support helmet, but also an authentic-looking (if small) light sabre. These elements are perfectly offset by a set of trademark Potato Head Eyes, which can have a rather unsettling effect late at night after a few Appletisers. The force is strong in this one, if you haven't already guessed. And it's there to be unleashed.

Potatoriffic! April 19, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Yes I know it's a kid's toy but I think this is an iconic symbol of youth that looks damn cool. It fuses 2 kids favourites, Mr Potato Head and Star Wars, into something that looks fun just sitting on your desk/on a shelf, etc.
I have mine on a shelf at home in the front room and I think it looks great. Side benefit, when my nieces & nephews are around they can actually use it as a toy! This works especially well when you consider I have the spud trooper as well.
If you have kids, buy it for them. If you don't and think this looks cool, then just buy it, as I'm pretty sure that most purchases of this are going to adults rather than children!
Do not understimate the power of the sauce April 5, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have Darth Tater sat on my desk on work, and I don't care if people think I'm mad.
I'm surprised that Lucas allowed Hasbro to use its Star Wars license to make this Mr Potato Head interpretation, but it's a welcome, humorous addition to the ever-expanding list of licensed products. Collectables are a lucrative business after all!
Toy(!) with the endless configurations if you must, but I like Darth Tater in his best Darth Vader impression most of all.
Star Wars - The Trilogy February 19, 2006 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Darth Tater is brilliant, then Spud Trooper came along and now.... Playskool Mr Potato Head Artoo-Potatoo with Princess Tater ... I can't wait! Well I have to! Until 30th May 2006 unless anyone knows different? A great toy for young and old just add imagination. May the sauce be with you!
Baked or boiled? Mr Potatoe Head will suit everyones taste December 8, 2005 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
My 2 year old son would love to have a Mr Potatoe Head to play with, since they are fun, interesting and easy to use. However, my son will just have to live with dissappointment for the time being because I have just 'installed' Darth Tatter and Spud Trooper on my work desk. If you are looking for some stress relief, forget the fancy ergonomic gadgets you can buy and order instead these fun and stimulating toys. They'll liven up any office and give you and your colleagues plenty to talk about. The Potatoe Heads may only come with a few extra pieces, but the whole package is very flexible, and there must be 100's of possible variation you can come up with, most of them gut-bustingly funny. Go on, you know you want to.
Please make more Star Wars characters November 23, 2005 11 out of 15 found this review helpful
These are a must for the toy and Star Wars collectors. Please, please bring out more characters in the Star Wars series. Yoda, Chewie, Luke, R2D2, C3PO Etc. The list is endless.
