Looks Great, but lacks quality June 20, 2008 We gave my daughter this toy last Christmas and she was delighted with it...for five minuets. It looks great and I have to say we've dropped ours several times and it seems quite tough. However the visual quality of the pics is very poor and the easy to use buttons are good but the pics are easy to delete sometimes by mistake! To be honest our camera is in a cupboard loaded with unrecognisable images we will never down load. The software is easy to use but the pictures dont inspire you to bother to print them! My daughter was six last month and she thinks the camera is babyish and wants one that looks more grown up. My verdict is a good enough toy but its overpiced it should be marketed around 30.00.
Disappointing March 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Given the recommended price of this camera I had expected a lot more. Even on the higher quality setting the picture quality is worse than any camera phone currently available and the resolution is a lot lower. I do not recall seeing a single picture I thought would be worth printing and that includes pictures I have taken with it. It also eats batteries.
My recommendation would be to look elsewhere. I think any cheap digital camera would give much better quality pictures and would be easy enough for older pre-schoolers to use with a bit of help.
Please don't bother - if your child is under 3 don't get them a camera yet, if over 3 buy a cheap digital camera February 6, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Honestly these cameras are NOT worth the money. I bought my 7 year old a cheap Canon Powershot which her 4 year old sister also uses with ease. It takes great pictures and is easy to use. If your child is under 3 - ask yourself why on earth you are buying them a camera in the first place, if over 3 then look at cheap 'grown-up' models instead.
My friend bought this camera for her 5 year old and was very disappointed, having looked at it myself I can see that (in my opinion) it is a piece of junk. Avoid!
won't be replacing January 26, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this camera for my 4 year old for Christmas. She loved it at first and took it everywhere. I must admit that I have to agree with all of the reviews. Unfortunatly, we were burgled and the camera was stolen. As I now have to think about replacing the camera i have had to think. Even the cheapest adult digital camera is better quality than this one, okay it doesn't have the games, but they are poor and you are better off buying a console as the battery power only lasts half a day so you can't let them play them for long. I can get a bigger screen size on other cameras. All I'm loosing is the size (which is heavy and bulky) and the plastic.Children who do not understand the value of money will think this is great, but it is not cheap and trust me, your little one only wants this camera because it's on the t.v. The marketing has been great but the product isn't. Buy a normal camera and save your well earned money, oh, and don't get burgled !
Don't buy this excuse for a camera... December 29, 2007 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
Got my little girl it for xmas and its utter rubbish, it seems a good idea and looks like it would be executed quite well, but in reality its just rubbish. I may as well have given here a throw away one every week. The picture quality is to say the least worthless, you couldn't print them at all and not even worth looking at on the pc... Its not a cheap thing but my very first 1mp digital camera was far far far better & this was years ago. You can buy a 3mp cam from ebuyer for 25 and teach them to be carefull. This as a camera is pointless, I've just told her to pretend, and I could have done that with an old camera. Not happy.
