Very poor performance September 28, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
The battery life is no more than 24 hours, The range warning bleeps when no more than 15 yards away from the base unit and the clarity is disappointing.
Very Annoying Beep September 19, 2008 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
In many respects this is a very nice product. However, it has one highly significant flaw.
Long before it reaches the maximum usable range it starts beeping at you to tell you that the signal strength is low. This comes as the form of random beeps during an active call which are very distracting.
There is no way to switch this BEEP off!
I had an older set of BT DECT phones that worked just fine for a number of years before I swapped them out in favour of these new phones. The old BT DECT phones worked fine, these new Graphite 1100 handsets BEEP at you during the call making it impossible to carry on a conversation.
Don't buy unless you are going to keep the handsets close to the base station.
Great phone for the price July 9, 2008 72 out of 76 found this review helpful
These two phones offer great value for money. The sound quality is fine as is the volume. They benefit from hands free facility and are easy to use.
As a person that needs to wear reading specs I find that the key pad is sufficiently large/clear that I can read the keys without the specs (very handy). Not so the tiny screen. It is totally impossible to get even a vague notion of what the screen displays without the specs.
However I just want a phone that allows me to make phone calls. I never bother with facilities such as phone book etc. so I don't really need to use the screen, after all at the beginning of time phones didn't require a screen.
In summary a great basic phone for the price. If you need to use the screen displays you better keep those specs to hand!
