Sorry Paddington..... Disapointed with the Quality & Design August 16, 2008

I have grown up with Paddington and enjoyed his storys & have many fond memories of playing with our Old Bear so I thought this Traditional Bear would make a nice gift for my young Nephew. On receiveing the Bear I was a bit dissapointed with the Quality and design of this new paddington, firstly his clothes and boots are attached to his body which was a big dissapointement - I remember getting the most enjoyment out of dressing him up in new clothes and now he's stuck in the same old coat and hat for ever! Also his clothes and hat were made of very stiff Felt which made them look cheap & tacky. Finally the Fluff came out far too easily, just the slightest touch and you had a handful of fluff, which makes me think there will be a lot of bald paddingtons out there in a few years time. The new bears have not made to Last and not made with TLC like the genuine Gabrielle Bears. I dont think this Bear is one for Genuine Paddington Fans but I would still consider buying it as a toy for an older child - althougth in my opinion too expensive for a toy thats not built to last!!
Sorry Paddington Nothing Personal - Bring back the Gabrielle Bears!!
