5 out of 5 stars Cashing in on Christmas again   November 23, 2008

I have bought most of my Christmas shopping from Amazon this year and this is an item that my son wants desperately but i will not pay 150 for it (double RRP). To be fair this is not actually Amazon charging this but one of their sellers but it casts a very bad light on Amazon. The seller is purely cashing in because these are in short supply. Don't be dragged in suppliers are still getting stock of these and Lego.com are still taking orders for delivery before christmas.

The ratings are for the usual excellent toy produced by Lego - not the ridiculously overpriced seller.

1 out of 5 stars How Much?   November 12, 2008

Same as the previous reviewer. Saw this item on here at 59, unable to buy at that time so came back to order a week later it was out of stock. Come back on tonight and its 100. Argos is cheaper but still about 70 and John Lewis is currently at 60 with 4 odd postage - but it is currently out of stock there.

I shall not be paying Amazon prices. I always thought Amazon was a excellent place to shop now I don't think so. I shall be taking my shopping elsewhere.

3 out of 5 stars OVERPRICED   November 10, 2008

LEGO Agents 8635: Mission 6: Mobile Command Center

At 89.99 this product is about 30 'OVER' high street prices!! As with all Lego products on Amazon there seems to be an overprice policy.

Save your money, take a trip to the high street (John Lewis is where I got it) and perhaps Amazon will realize they need to lower their prices. You can buy this item for 59.99 and then have 30 to treat yourself to something or buy another 'Agent' mission set to go with this one.

Other than that, the product itself is of the usual Lego quality and my 10 year old son thinks it's one of the best toys ever.

4 out of 5 stars Great product but don't knock it over!   October 23, 2008

When it says that the you need to be 8 to build it, I think it means: 8 year old with his/her Dad! It looks good from the packet, and it IS a good product, just not very durable. Literally, one knock and it crumbles! As it is a extremely large product, there are thousands of bags. But helpfully, these are numbered, as are the 4 instruction leaflets. Also, don't expect to build this in one day. It took me several weeks to build this. All in all, a great product (when it is finished), but if you want to build it by yourself, wait until you are 11+ and be very carefull when touching, handling, playing and building it! A fine birthday or christmas present.
