Product Description What's mould-able, hold-able, squish-able and squash-able? MOON SAND! It's Out of this World! The only sand that moulds and plays like dough without those sticky moments! Moon Sand has a texture that is similar to sand yet it has the ability to mould like dough and never dries out! Moon Sand is re-usable sand for sculpting and moulding that can be used over and over again. It won't stick or stain and since it never hardens cleaning up is a breeze - just vacuum it up! Once out of its container it expands to twice its size so there's more to play with! Normal sand is not for indoor play but with Moon Sand kids can now have the fun of the beach indoors without the mess. Includes 4 moulds, tool, a playmat and a sandbox carry case. 3 Years +

Great concept, not enough sand November 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Although rather overpriced for "damp sand", my children persuaded me it really was "special" sand and that they would really enjoy it. So, for a birthday, I bought this particular kit. The sand is great - very tactile, not sticky or "dirty" feeling, crumbly yet holds a shape when moulded. However, this particular kit has too little actual sand to make the most from the sandcastle mould. Very disappointing for slightly old children who immediately want to develop their creations and make anything slightly bigger. If you do wish to buy this, I recommend buying extra sand to top up the rather meagre supply within this kit. Also, while it might look like a great way to bring safe sand indoors, it is very messy. Even my fairly tidy 7 yr old found she was getting it on the floor, onto her socks and trampled throughout the house. I recommend using a small, flat based paddling pool with shallow sides rather than a moon sand mat. The mats do not give enough space to create and the sides are not deep enough to hold in all the sand effectively.
sand everywhere October 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My daughter has been asking for this for months - grandma and grandpa finally gave in!!! Well it's fun and they love it but considering they bought her two packs which contained 4 bags of sand in total there is not much left it gets everwhere!!! I think it is over priced for what it is and certainly would not buy it myself!! If you want to annoy a family member or close friend with a messy toy then this is the one to get!!! All in all nice idea but unless you have wipe down everything then don't get this!!
Moon sand January 22, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
My daughter got this product for Christmas after keeping on about it for months following the TV ad. With help she managed to mould the shapes for the castle, which held together fairly well. However, there is not nearly enough sand to make the castles pictured on the box, which was very disappointing. She has been asking for more sand though so she can make the whole thing. I must say I enjoyed the sand too.

Oh My God December 29, 2007 17 out of 22 found this review helpful
I chose this as a Christmas present for my 5 year old boy, against my better judgement, as he has seen the advert on TV and has gone on and on about it. Got three lots of coloured sand too. Thought it was a real nightmare. The sand got everywhere, did stain the carpet and ended up in the hoover very quickly. You certainly could not build the castle like they showed on the box, just a crumbly, mushed up version. Didn't see the point of the coloured sand (which stained the carpet even more) as you had to use one at a time otherwise it would end up like all our playdough - one big murkey gooey mess! Thought it was a real waste of money but the kids liked it!
