Poor design and frustrating for children September 26, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this for my 6 year old daughter, as she enjoys playing with beads. Unfortunately, the beads in this are very small and fiddly for her to place.
It took her over an hour to make one complete design and then when sprayed with water to stick the beads together it warped and then broke apart. I wouldn't recommend this product.
My daughter also has the Hama beads set as well which you iron to join the beads together and that is a much better product than these poorly designed aquabeads
Pretty good fun for the right age January 27, 2008 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
The toy is unwrapped, the kids are excited then as they start using it, it becomes apparent to the adults that it really is cheap and nasty. Small, 2 dimensional shapes go together ok, but anything more adventurous is really out of the question, despite what the cover photos portray. However, small children find this utterly fascinating and my two girls continue to spent hours playing with this. They enjoy the whole process from placing the beads through to spraying with water and drying.
So I feel this is a toy that 4 to 6 year-olds will love, but the poor quality will really be apparent to anyone older than that.
terrible toy - don't buy. January 7, 2008 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
This is a really bad toy it is fiddly, and rubbish and doesn't really work. The idea is to make a pattern with beads then fuse them together with water. Flat patterns are ok but you are supposed to be able to join square patterns together to make picture frames and boxes etc. It just doen't work. My children had this for christmas and it was the biggest disappointment.
Amazing Aqua Beads! January 6, 2008 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I found these Aqua beads very fun to play with. They are also very good because you don't have to iron them, you can just spray them to stick them together. I think they are prettier than hama bead creations because hama beads melt flat when they are ironed. Aqua bead keep their shape when thy are sprayed and glued. They are very easy to use and I recommend this toy to any child that enjoys making things.
