1 out of 5 stars Gutted - same problem   January 27, 2008

Sad now I have seen the other reviews that everyone is having the same problem. It is obviously a design fault as it is not a tear as such but it coming apart leaving a hole. Gutted cos my girls loved it and it looked so nice.

1 out of 5 stars Dora the Explorer - Not a Merry Christmas   December 26, 2007
3 out of 3 found this review helpful

I bought a Dora the Explorer inflatable chair for my 2.5yr old niece for christmas..unfortunately before I had even managed to give my niece the chair on Christmas Day, I had blown it up and it ripped at the seams! I only wished I had read the previous reviews. This product is very poor quality and it shouldn't be available to the public until the quality is vastly improved.

2 out of 5 stars Same Problem   February 10, 2007

Yeah, same problem as the others. My 3yr old daughter used it a few times before she accidently sat down on the arm first before the main seat and the seams split, leading to instant deflation and much disappointment.
Would have expected it to be stronger seeing how it marketed for toddlers who are not known for their gentleness with toys!

1 out of 5 stars Bad design - chair inevitably will tear!   January 11, 2007

Yep - same problem as everyone else. Our 4 year old had one day of enjoyment before it gave way whereas a BOB the Builder one for our son is still going strong. It's to do with the 2 part construction where the sides are connected to the seat - inevitably it will give way and cannot be repaired easily.

2 out of 5 stars Very upsetting and a big disappointment   January 8, 2007

I bought this for my 4 year old niece who is mad on Dora. She came back from a fantastic hol in Aus and opened her Christmas present on Saturday 6th January 2007. Monday 8th December I received a phone call from her mother to say that the chair has "popped" and that my niece was in tears for over 45 minutes. This is a very poorly made childs chair. The seams are very weak and the actual chair itself was a disappointment to me when I blew it up. I thought it would be bigger and there wasn't even a repair patch in the box which I was very surprised about. All other inflatable goods that I have ever purchased have had repair patches with them. This one should have had several with it. Maybe this is why its so hard to find this item in the High Street. Maybe they were fed up with returns so decided not to supply it any more.
