 Good on its own but needs tiny marbles September 23, 2008

First off: this is fundamentally a good marble run! Lots of bits, you can build it tall, stable, whizz clunk rattle. But...
Bought this with the "tin of 100 marbles" (100) Marbles in a Tin- a recommended pairing - and those marbles are too big to fit through some of the holes! You get a small bag (~15) marbles with the run, and these work fine. Close comparison between these and the others (and other marbles in the house (generally found under sofas, beds etc)) shows that they are smaller than what would appear to be 'standard' marbles. Are Continental marbles a different spec to UK ones?
Also, when it arrived the inner product box appeared to have been opened, and a couple of important whirly wheel bits were missing. The boy (3yo) spotted this on comparison with the box - oops, shouldn't have taught him to count, I guess.
So, it's gotta go back, much wailing, gnashing of teeth to follow, guess we'll go get the Galt one instead - I know that one fits 'normal' marbles!

Ive just bought this marble run for my wee boy who is just 4 years old. It is not as easy as it looks to put the run together. I think I had a Krypton Factor of 2 on my first attempt. Once you get the gist of how to put it together it is great. I do not have the imagination or the engineering skills to do my own designer run but the pictures on the box are good enough to copy. A wee tip - make sure you have your foundations right otherwise your run will look like something out of a Dr Suess book!. Overall it is a good buy. My wee boy loves it and has been playing with this game for a solid week now.

Excellent Value For Money !!!
Easy to make, Loads of fun, Excellent Quality
My daughter of just 3yrs enjoyed this game and was amazed by it
Certainly kept us all entertained as a family
Really glad I purchased this one, given they are so many on the market
Delivery was quick and easy too, credit to amazon !!!
