| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description 4 years & up. Keep your creature for a short time, then let it go. This bug viewer allows children to see the bug two ways, from the top or from the side. It is watertight, so children can view tadpoles or small fish. The peeper is escape proof and won't break or tip over. Great for show and tell. Comes with a beetle replica.

Excellent value July 20, 2010 P. Ryder (uk) I looked at various options but decided on this mainly due to price. Whilst I am sure I can get something better this is really good value.
Bugtastic! July 7, 2010 Mr. A. Upton (england) This is bigger than I thought it would be and really nice as I gave to a bug mad 8 year old girl and she was very impressed. Good clear magnifying without the usual having to focus anything and make summertime exploring extra fun.
Bug Jar July 1, 2010 J. Wild Our three year old granddaughter loves it she spent hours with it looking at different bettles slugs and spiders.
we received it within two days of ordering excellent service
Good Enough June 4, 2010 Mr. S. Mckie I bought this for my two year old a couple of days ago and it was an instant success. She immediately liked the idea that she could keep bugs contained and get a good look at them.
There were two obvious issues for me though. The first is that which everyone has identified - the cone shaped lid falls off very easily. I had to solve this by putting masking tape on the inside of the lid to give a lot more friction.
The second problem was that both the magnifying glasses are out of focus. The top one slightly, but the bottom one quite a lot. I have very good eyesight with no need for correction and I have great difficulty focusing on the underneath of the bugs :( My daughter doesn't seem to care though so it is good enough for me!
On the plus side, once the lid falling off problem is sorted this is a great source of interest and enjoyment to my little girl. It is easy to handle for her small hands and gives her a safe and controlled way to get up close and personal with creepy crawlies who otherwise scare her when they jump, fly or scurry at her.
Good little toy May 28, 2010 Mrs. L. V. Gower No problems here. The kids loved it. They dropped it a few times as kids do and it did not break. I was very happy with this. Would recommend
