Could have made a better deal January 3, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
It's a good version if you want to play a lot of games fast without delays and is portable enough to play on the move or put in a pocket. Another plus (For some at least) is the lack of the bearded one. But some drawbacks are:
No atmosphere due to lack of sound or music. This was disappointing and means it becomes boring very quickly.
Screen is difficult to read
the box opening mechanism feels like it won't last over a long period.
Deal or No Deal Handheld Game January 3, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This plays exactly like the programme itself with the excitement coming at the last few boxes. Criticisms are as the previous review, but despite this I give it 5 stars for playability. The only question I need answering just to make sure I don't have a faulty game, is if there should be a back light? If anybody can answer that question I will be a happy bunny.
SO ADDICTIVE December 30, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Who'd have thought that a last minute toy for a child for x-mas would be so addictive for the entire family, even our four year old daughter can't stop playing it. Yes, it has faults, no sound, no real gain in beating the banker ( no congratulatory noises or flashing lights ) but all this aside, we as a family are hooked. It has even been suggested that it becomes a travelling companion on the plane ! ! As with the other person that reviewed this, I agree that the price was too steep at 15. And that the touch screen idea is good, but that the console soon looks dirty.
NO DEAL! December 28, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This game is ok in principle but has many flaws. Having received it for christmas, i enjoyed playing it the first couple of times, even though the boxes are very hard to see, making it impossible to play in a dark lighted area.
However, after this the game gets very repetitive. The block of numbers from 1,000 down to 10,000 always stay in tha game until at least 14 boxes have been opened and a round containing 3,000 followed by 5,000 followed by 10,000 occurs in virtually every game played! This really lets the game down as by the 5 box stage you already know what amount of money you have in your box (generally 15,000 plus whatever is left in your box will b left when down to 2 boxes)
Therefore i was highly disappointed with this product and would definitely not advise people to accept a "deal" to buy this.
this is a no deal December 28, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
this is a great idea for anyone who likes the gameshow but what is very misleading is when you look at the package it gives you the impression that all the boxes light up but they dont the screen is very dull therefore you could not use this game in poor light which is a shame if i had known this i would not have purchased this game so if i were you i would opt for the dvd version
