Frustrating Fun January 27, 2008 Gave this toy as a Christmas present to father-in-law. It has been passed round family and friends so that someone was desperately trying to solve it at all waking hours between Christmas and New Year. Considering it claims to have so many solutions, we are amazed none of us has found one yet. It's still fun trying though and maybe we'll solve it by next Christmas.....
Fun for five minutes! January 19, 2008 Was really excited to have a try of the Bedlam cube after seeing it on dragons den.
The excitment soon turned to frustration...
The main problem with the cube is you can't put it away until its complete... no no not because its so much fun, but because it won't fit back in the box.
I expected the cube to have some kind of scientific solution or if your really good at Tetris (like me) then a simular skill would apply. Not with this it is completly random (don't belive me? search the internet).
Is it possible ? September 12, 2007 I can't help wondering if the egglam cube actually has a solution. After all, there's some seriously intelligent adult 'kids' out there isn't there, who will stay up for as long as it takes. If it doesn't have a solution, what would happen ? Would this mean a massive court case ?
How do you know that there is a solution ?

Eggceptionally Hard May 2, 2007 17 out of 20 found this review helpful
This cube is eggceptionally hard. Although it claims to have over 19,000 solutions, I haven't found one yet. Looking at it, I eggspected it to be quite straightforward - just put the bits in the box and make sure the yellow yolk pieces are in the middle. But it will drive you mad looking for ways to get it back together. And you can't fit it back in the box unless you do - so it just sits on the coffee table, defying you to resist trying again. It just nags at you. And unlike a Rubik's Cube, you can't take out a screwdriver and cheat.
A bonus, though, is that unlike a real egg, it is all made of square bits so it won't roll off the table and break on the floor. Also, unlike a real egg, it doesn't go rotten after a few weeks or smell.
The puzzle is really not eggspensive, and for the hours of entertainment it will give it must compare favourably with any DVD or CD. A real way to treat yourself without being eggstravagant.
