This art easel is rather good , I bought my 8 year old daughter it for her birthday, and she loved it, the only thing is you don't get any extras with it, like paint, or the paper roll, you have to buy them separately, apart from that it was good value, you do have to assemble it yourself though.

My 2 year grandson loves this easel. Its height and accessories make painting and drawing so accessible for him. It was easy to assemble and seems fairly well made, although one of the plastic fittings that hold the screws in place has dropped off and we can't find it.

i bought this for my god-daughter for christmas and its still going strong, and its fair to say she's more than a bit "ruff". easily assembled(no tools required) and ideal for any where as its folds away nicely, adjustable height is excellent idea as well as the paper tearer. my god-daughter loved it, and i definitly won the prize for the favourite present this year

I really like this, it was easy to assemble and looks attractive (unlike the chunky plastic ones that you get). The unfinished wood is bound to get dirty but I suppose you could varnish it. The paint trays are eaay to remove for cleaning. My son who is 5 is very reluctant to draw, write or paint so an easel was suggested by his teacher. He likes it very much and has produced many paintings and will sometimes pick up some chalk and draw without being prompted too. I have bought a dry wipe pen and that works well. My older daughter who is 8 loves this too.

The quality of the wooden legs and easel holders leaves very much to be desired it took me an hour of sanding to get them to an acceptable level of safety for my grandchildren.This product needs tighter quality controls in place. I shall not purchase anymore melissa & doug products.
