Thomas the tank Toddler bed April 21, 2010 Stephannie Murray (uk) My little boy took to this bed straight away which was brilliant because he never settled in his cotbed.
I love the fact the drawers are not sliding ones and more storage boxes.
I also saved over 40 pounds shopping with amazon and as a single mum this is always appreciated.
Definatly reccomend this bed to any little thomas fan x
Happy little boy March 18, 2010 J. Lindfield Good Purchase, came in good time, and was exactly as expected. A very good bed when making the transition from cot to first bed. Choo Chooo
Thomas bed. December 27, 2009 Toatypegs (Peterhead, UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is brilliant. It was easy to put together. I did it on my own with just my 2 year old son's assistance and it took me less than an hour. My son absolutely loves this as his first bed. As soon as it was finished he couldn't wait to get into it to go to sleep. It is perfect as a first bed after a cot as it is low enough for them to get in themselves, it is sturdy enough for an adult to sit on to read a bedtime story. The removable shelf is just right for holding a bottle of milk and a book. Any thomas fan would love it.
Excellent buy December 21, 2009 S. Zeen (Kent, UK) This bed was ideal for my 2 year old going from a cot as it has the side panels which made him still feel secure. I bought it at a really good price and it was very easy to put together. I would definitely recommend it! My son now asks me if he can go to bed since he's had this he loves it!

An excellent bed for a toddler moving from a cot to a first bed. It's quite low down which isn't the easiest for the adult but the point of this bed is to allow a toddler an easy and safe transition from having to be taken out of a cot to getting up by themselves. My son is nearly 3 and small compared to most and he can easily get in and out of bed. You have to purchase the largest cotbed mattress to fit it which does add to the cost of ownership - but the bed does what it says on the tin - it stops the child falling out of bed at night (unless they shuffle to the foot end where there is no guard) yet allows them to get up unaided in the morning. It also allows the child a 'safer' fall if they do end up near the foot end and fall out. My son has done this but he was unharmed. The bed also doesn't take up much more room than a cot so still allows him plenty of room to play in his bedroom (which isn't on the large side). And of course any child who loves Thomas will adore this bed as my son does.
