Product Description Meet Henry. If you don't know him personally, you'll most certainly have seen him around, most likely smiling proudly in the front window of Robert Dyas or some such sensible high street DIY chain. The classic Henry is usually red (although he has multicoloured siblings). He smirks chirpily. And has phenomenal capacity for all manner of rubbish. At gadgetshop HQ, we can't get enough of him. And now, at last, this cheerful little vacuum cleaner beloved of builders all over the country is available for a new generation of mini builders and cleaners, in small (but perfectly formed) dimensions. Battery-powered, with a full set of accessories that pack away neatly inside, this mini-cleaner doesn't just look the part, it's actually designed to perform. The younger members of one's household will take to it with aplomb. And now at last, one's children can clear-up after themselves. Meaning an end to biscuit and crisp crumbs (in one's dreams). Henry even comes with a simulated power cord that reels in by turning a handle, just like its bigger brother. Better still, at just 255mm tall (less than a standard ruler) it can even sit atop your desk in the office to suck-up all sorts of office detritus. With the possible exception of Terry from Accounts.

my desktop buddy! July 24, 2010 K. maguire (u.k) I bought this for my Husband as a gay toy for desk at work. I knew that when people saw Henry on his masculine desk of Athoritahhh that they would think he is definitely gay. However do not purchase Henry for cleaning purposes, you will be wasting your money. If its a good sucking action you want then i suggest you purchase a mature Henry, if thats your sort of thing. All in all a cute little toy that will suck very small things like specs of dust, dried up bogies and i guarantee he will look adorable on any desk!!!
No suction power, huge disappointment! July 23, 2010 Cybergal (England) I'd been wanting one of these for ages, both for its cuteness value and because I thought it'd be useful for vacuuming the dust off my desk and my computer.
Was given it as a gift and it was a huge disappointment... it did not have enough suction power to even vaccum DUST particles up unless the suction tube was placed directly above them, and even then it had difficulty!
Not only that, but there is a grill at the back which I guess circulates the air or something, so when it's on you get a blast of dirty air directed at you from the back of the unit.
The unit also comes with the suction tube and a couple of other heads stored inside the unit itself. You need to take these out to work the unit, as the main compartment is where the dust is gathered, but then you have nowhere to store the spare pieces unless you clean out the compartment after use in order to place them back in there.
Overall I felt it was badly designed and did not perform its utility function, so I cannot give it more than 1 star. If you're happy to gift it for its cuteness factor then that's great, it is cute, but if you hope it will serve a purpose, e.g. as a desk vacuum, then you're likely to be disappointed.
I ended up giving it to a charity shop as there was no point having it taking up space on a shelf.
Desktop Henry Vacuum Cleaner July 14, 2010 Steve The Desktop Henry Vacuum Cleaner is adorable. He's very good at picking up kitchen work-surface and computer desk crumbs too.
Every home should have one!
Desktop henry! June 8, 2010 D. STAFFORD (Worcester, UK) Very cool!!! Does suck up crumbs etc as stated and is lots of fun just to be silly with! However suction could be a bit stronger, although he is only small!
Fun little hoover that doesn't hoover. June 2, 2010 Scott Edwards (Lancs Uk) The little henry hoover is a great looking little guy and is fun for a little while but doesn't really suck anything up, including dust..
Although kids love it and it is a nice little decoration, don't buy it thinking you are going to be hoovering anything up from your desk or worktop, because he isn't powerful enough by far.
It will pick up ''some'' tiny little crumbs, but not many,
I bought the little henry knowing it wouldnn't be of much use, just for the decorational value.
Still happy with it though.
