These additional darts are a good idea if you have already bought the guns. Though make sure you are ordering the correct kind as these are for the hand held gun and I believe that the "machine gun" version of the nerf guns uses different darts. Buying an extra pack or two means your child (and you!) will have plenty of ammo and as some are bound to get lost you will quickly run out of the 6 that come with the gun. Also there is a risk that in the heat of battle the darts are not inserted into the gun properly and get nipped and damaged.
In general the guns are great fun and work well. The darts do fly well and apart from a slight concern over hitting the enemy in the eye do not hurt when they hit the target.

If you buy a Nerf Gun you will need spare bullets believe me. I bought my son the Night Finder EX3, which comes with just 3 bullets. The Nerf gun can, and does, fire over 30 feet so it was no surprise that within 5 minutes he had lost 2 of the bullets, one over the fence into a neighbour's garden and a second stuck 20ft up a tree.
Lucky I had ordered these spares and tears and boredom were avoided.

When ordering replacement bullets be sure to ONLY order same colour tips as originally supplied with the gun.
Whistler bullets sound Great, but don't fit all NERF guns.

great product and fun for all the family weather your 5 or 95 this is a must have pressie for the kids i got a nerf gun for christmas ( and i'm 40 ) so did my kids and we still have loads of fun with them

Nerf guns are such great fun that you can use ammo like no ones business! So, these reusable foam darts are an essential addition to a great toy. They fit all the Nerf guns so a couple of packs can be easily split between different weapons for great fun sitting-room and garden battles for all the family.
