My daughter received her first Webkinz, the black and white cat for Christmas and since then, i have bought five more for her. Webkinz is brilliant in so many ways and i myself am addicted to it!
Webkinz the website is educational and fun, and includes features such as games, quiz's, shops, an employment office, school and you can also build your own house too with the 'kinzcash' that you earn, plus there are many other fun activities throughout the site. It combines learning with fun and it's also great for parents too, i can and do spend about two hours per day at the site, it is so addictive. The website also has a chat room, which is safe for children as you can only ask and answer questions from a selection of questions and answers that Webkinz provides.
My only negative about the site would be that you do not get a personal reply from Webkinz when you send them an enquiry, i feel this is bad customer service really considering i have spent about 60 so far with Webkinz products, hopefully this will change in the future though.
The toy itself left much to be desired. It looks cheap and the fluffy fur is awful to touch and pulls out quite easily too, not very attractive looking at all. It was also not stuffed as much as i feel it should have been, it looks like one of those toys you can get from a 1 shop, plus my cat has developed a hole in it's back, despite not really playing with it much, so that now needs to be fixed with a needle and thread. But the virtual black and white cat is very cute, one of the cutest Webkinz i feel, just a shame about the actual real life toy.
I also have the charcoal cat and the black cat and these have been produced to a far better standard and are very cute indeed, not so cheap looking. I also have the raccoon, chichuha and the love frog and i would recommend these Webkinz too, they are lovely on and off screen, my kids adore them.
I would recommend Webkinz toys and the website to anyone aged 4+ who likes to have innocent, educational fun. It really is far better then i have described here and i do believe you will be pleasantly surprised as too how much fun and educational the Webkinz website really is.
Quite simply Webkinz rocks!
