nice book, but hasn't captivated my daughter January 10, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I thought my 3 1/2 yr old daughter would love this book as she loves Winnie the Pooh, but so far, she has been more interested in the sample books that came with the LeapPad Plus, than in this one (or in the Thomas one I bought her). Unlike a previous reviewers daughter, she really likes the educational stuff (mazes, puzzles, rhyming and spelling, etc.) and finds the games in Honeypots too boring. Maybe she'll change her mind later. She loves her LeapPad, so it's just a matter of finding the right books to capture her imagination. Too bad the books are so expensive, as they seem to be hit or miss according to individual tastes.
exceptional book December 30, 2003 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
although always very doubtful of so called electronic learning aids i was very suprised and impressed with the leap pad lots and lots of honeypots, my 5 year old daughter was able to use the book following simple instructions and enjoyed hours of learning as she wanted to. She could choose counting games, matching and classifying and number recognition, but the beauty of this book is that she could do it independantly which gave her a great sense of achievement, she altered her games as she wanted to, and continued to learn the whole time
Lots of fun with Pooh and Tigger Too! December 22, 2003 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
My four year old loves this story as there are many more things to do other than just hear the story. Each page has a game, either counting or colour recognition, and all the objects on the page either play a tune or say a phrase when touched. Great fun and she hasn't got bored with it in the last year. Much more popular with her than the other leap pad books we got which were more educational based! It just goes to show that they prefer to learn when they don't realise that is what they are doing. Would definitely recommend it!
