Utterly essential. Buy one immediately. September 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I don't often review things on Amazon - but quite frankly, the woman (I am assuming) who invented the Jumperoo deserves a Nobel Prize. I don't know what we'd have done without ours - and our son has never giggled so much as when in his Jumperoo.
Best money i've ever spent September 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my 5 month old daughter last week, and from the moment we put her in it she absolutely loved it!! The toys keep her entertained for ages and she loves bouncing in it!! She loves it so much she cries when it's time to come out!! About to buy a spare one to put in grannys house!!!
Worth the money September 6, 2008 Agree with everyone else! This toy is expensive but really worth it. We bought it for our daughter when she was about 3 months and it remained the only toy to keep her entertained for more than about a minute from that age up until about 9 months (when she became more interested in crawling and wrecking the house). We've just had another baby and he has started using it as well. He is 12 weeks old and fascinated by it.
As other people have said, your baby really needs to be able to hold their head comfortably and both of mine were a bit short when they first went in - nothing a couple of phone books under their feet couldn't sort out though.
The only downsides are it's a bit pricey and quite a large item if you have a smaller room but I would highly recommend paying the money and relocating an armchair if necessary as it is without doubt a brilliant investment. Lots of hours of fun for your baby and dare I say it a bit of time out from entertaining them and keeping them out of harms way when you really need to get on with a few jobs around the house etc.Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo
Even annoying babies like this! August 10, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Okay thats a harsh description of my son but its true. I bought this for my eight week old son for two reasons - he needs constant stimulation and he is quite freaky in that he has been holding his head up from birth and gets very frustrated at the majority of toys aimed at his age range that expect him to lie down - which he doesn't like doing.
As long as your baby can support his head then this is fantastic. I did have to hold my breath when I pressed add to basket because of the price but I can see this being used for a long time to go. He very quickly caught on that if he wiggled his legs up and down then the noise came on. He then figured out that if he wiggled his legs and waited until the elephant noise and wiggled again he could make a continous noise with very little effort. I can see the noises it makes driving me mental very quickly but after playing in this and then having a bath he actually slept for eight hours which is a record and was written in the diary with delight.
Also because he is smaller than this toy is intended for he can quite happily gnaw on the seat whilst he is in it then make random grabs at the toys around him.
Buy this for your sanity!
Bouncing baby! July 13, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We bought this for our baby when he was just over 6 months. We bought this one as lots of his little friends had walkers, bouncers etc, but our baby gets bored with everything very quickly! This jumperoo has so many things on that it kept him entertained for a couple of half hours for a good couple of days before he even discovered he could bounce like a nutter in it! Now he's bouncing and spinning round in it and I'm as entertained as he is! I can even leave him in it for around 20 minutes to play on his own, with Thomas The Tank Engine on the telly as well and with how quickly my baby gets bored I never thought that would ever happen! Expensive item, but as long as you get it early enough when they are around 6 or 7 months then I think it's worth the money.
